The Foundation Board is currently establishing criteria for disbursing grants to children with spinal cord injuries who are without financial means or insurance coverage. The idea is that children who sustain such traumatic and life-changing events such as damage to the central nervous system causes, they should not have to worry about from where their next piece of equipment – whether a wheelchair or piece of adaptive sporting equipment, which often costs several hundred to thousands of dollars – comes. Rather, at such a critical time in their development, the grants will help them to focus on continuing their life paths and development within their social circles. More information on grants from the Jeff Lichon Spinal Cord Injury Foundation will be available as the program develops, and in the meantime, questions can be directed to Thank you for your interest and support.
